Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is the most common form of therapy in counseling. Clients are seen one-on-one with the therapist. Individual therapy allows the therapist and the client to focus on building rapport and to focus on the client’s issues.
Family Therapy
Family Therapy is a form of therapy designed to identify family patterns that contribute to dysfunctional behavioral habits within the family. It involves discussion and problem-solving sessions with the family. Some of these sessions may be as a group, in couples, or one on one. In family therapy, the web of interpersonal relationships is examined and, ideally, communication is strengthened within the family.
Couples Therapy
The purpose of couples therapy is to help the couple recognize and resolve conflicts and improve their relationship. The reasons for conflict in a relationship can include depression, anxiety, substance use, or domestic violence. Couples therapy is designed to identify the presence of dissatisfaction and help restore the relationship to a better and healthier level of functioning.
